Portugal winger Pedro Neto signed for Chelsea from Wolverhampton Wanderers on August 11, 2024, for a seven-year contract.
Neto’s early steps as a player were with Braga’s Portuguese youth team, where he made a memorable debut with the first team in 2017, scoring at 17 in a 4-0 victory over Nacional. He subsequently moved to Italy on loan with Lazio, before the move was made permanent.
In August 2019, Neto transferred to Wolverhampton Wanderers, where he appeared 135 times and was on the books for 11 goals in his final season with the club.
Neto made his Chelsea debut shortly after joining, coming on as a substitute in a home match against Manchester City. His first club appearance was for the club in a UEFA Conference League game against Servette, his Premier League debut for a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace. Neto opened his Chelsea account with a goal in a 5-0 win over Barrow in the Carabao Cup, and again for a goal against Gent in the UEFA Conference League.
