Paul Pogba admits he is a big fan of Cole Palmer
Players from across Europe are starting to recognise the individual talent emerging at Chelsea, with one standout performance even impressing former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.
Under Enzo Maresca’s leadership, Chelsea secured two trophies in his debut season and earned a return to the Champions League. The squad’s progress is gaining attention, with notable praise from Portugal manager Roberto Martinez, who named Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez as the best midfield duo at the recent FIFA Club World Cup.
Chelsea won the tournament in the United States, with one player, Cole Palmer, making headlines on the global stage. Palmer scored twice and assisted Joao Pedro in the final against PSG, showcasing his composure and class.
PSG manager Luis Enrique acknowledged Palmer’s performance, while goalkeeper Robert Sanchez even called him the best player in the world.
Palmer’s performance caught the eye of Pogba, who has recently returned to top-flight football at Monaco following suspension. Speaking on the Chelsea forward, Pogba said:
“You tell me, isn’t he top? He’s one of my favourite players. Cold is cool. He’s really cold.”
