Nicolas Jackson Chelsea Exit Looms as Agent Confirms Imminent Transfer
Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson looks set to leave Stamford Bridge before the close of the summer transfer window, with his agent Diomansy Kamara confirming that a move is “expected within 48 hours.”
The 24-year-old forward, who joined the Blues from Villarreal last year, informed the club earlier this month of his desire to seek a new challenge. Chelsea are open to letting him go if the right offer arrives, though they would not be opposed to keeping him should no agreement materialise.
Speaking via Footmercato, Kamara issued a statement that hinted strongly at a departure:
“30 goals in two seasons, without a single penalty. Highs, lows… but a page is turning at the Blues. Always grateful for yesterday, but already looking toward tomorrow, with optimism. Germany, Italy, England: the options are numerous, the decision is imminent. Thank you for the support, we see your messages… Nicolas Jackson, transfer expected within 48 hours.”
Interest from Europe’s Elite
Bayern Munich have been tracking Jackson, though the German champions reportedly favour a loan deal, while Chelsea prefer a permanent transfer for their No.15. Aston Villa also hold interest but may need to sell players before making a move, while Newcastle United have made contact with Jackson’s representatives but remain focused on other attacking options such as Jorgen Strand Larsen.
Maresca Hints at Departures
Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca recently spoke about the uncertainty surrounding Jackson and Christopher Nkunku, suggesting that it may be best for both players to secure moves away this summer.
“We’ll see if they are going to be here,” Maresca said. “If they are with us, fine. If not, it means they have found a solution. At the end, I think it is always better if they can find a solution because they will be happier, and the club the same.”
With the transfer deadline just days away, Jackson’s future appears to be one of the last major stories of Chelsea’s summer window. Whether Bayern, Aston Villa, or another suitor makes the decisive move remains to be seen, but all signs suggest that the Senegalese striker’s time at Stamford Bridge is coming to a close.
