A Landmark Moment for Football and Music

The 15-minute performance—broadcast live and free worldwide via DAZN.com—marks the first time FIFA has staged a major halftime show for a club competition, following the model of the NFL’s iconic Super Bowl spectacles.

“We’re going to bring the world together for a beautiful moment, to celebrate football, feel the unity that music brings, and improve the lives of millions of children,” said Tems, the Grammy-winning Nigerian singer-songwriter.

Tournament of Historic Proportions

The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup represents a seismic shift for global club football:

  • 32 elite teams (expanded from 7)
  • Matches across 11 U.S. cities
  • First official FIFA club world champion to be crowned
  • Expected to become most-watched club competition ever

Philanthropic Mission: Education Through Football

The halftime show supports the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which aims to raise $100 million to provide children worldwide with access to quality education and football programs.

Key initiatives:

  • $1 from every U.S. match ticket donated to the fund
  • Builds on Global Citizen’s decade-long education advocacy
  • Aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals

“To end extreme poverty, we need to ensure every child has access to quality education. We’re asking football fans everywhere to step up,” said Global Citizen CEO Hugh Evans.

Artists With a Purpose

The three headliners bring both star power and social activism:

The FIFA Club World Cup FINAL will have a Half–Time Show.

Tems

  • Nigerian Afrobeats/R&B sensation
  • First African woman to win a Grammy for Best Melodic Rap Performance
  • Previously headlined Global Citizen Festival 2022 in Accra

J Balvin

  • Reggaeton icon and Latin Grammy winner
  • Fourth Global Citizen collaboration
  • “From Medellín to MetLife, this is for every kid who dreams big“

Doja Cat

  • Chart-topping American rapper/singer

  • Brings massive Gen Z appeal

FIFA President Gianni Infantino:

“United, we’ll write history where football and music will unite the world. This event will be remembered, while investing in the future of children.”

Global Citizen’s Hugh Evans:
“When education and opportunity meet, poverty is defeated. This partnership confirms that sport and music can bring authentic change.”
