Chelsea Believe New Signings Jamie Gittens and Joao Pedro Can Make “Instant Impact”
Chelsea’s hectic summer transfer strategy continues as the Blues look to next season under new manager Enzo Maresca. Three forward recruits have already been signed by the club—Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens, and Joao Pedro—and of these latter two can be expected to make an instant impact at Stamford Bridge, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Chelsea Summer Overhaul
After a hectic start to the window, Chelsea remain very much active, with another striker and center-back to be signed. Jadon Sancho’s departure and Mykhailo Mudryk’s suspension left a gap on the left side, and so the addition of Gittens and Pedro.
Jamie Gittens (20): Worth up to £55 million from Borussia Dortmund, the talented English winger is an elite target but will be ruled out of the Club World Cup due to registration protocols.
Joao Pedro (23): Arriving on a probable £60 million, the Brazilian forward has Premier League experience under his belt from being at Brighton and will probably feature against Palmeiras in the Club World Cup.

Why Chelsea Signed Gittens and Pedro
Romano reported the news on his Here We Go Podcast that Chelsea believe both players are ideal for their venture:
“Chelsea believe that Gittens and Joao Pedro are players who can provide an instant impact but also have lots of room to grow into even bigger players—that’s why they pursued these two targets.”
The signings are part of the new approach under Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital: investments in young, quality talents who will be able to make an immediate impact while blossoming into future stars.
Departures: Noni Madueke’s Future Uncertain
With Estevao Willian signing up as well and Chelsea eyeing another attacker, the squad is becoming overpopulated. As a result, Noni Madueke could be sold to cut the fat and make space in the team.
What’s Next for Chelsea?
The Blues continue to target the defense, and it is still a priority to bring in a new center-back. While fans will be eager to see if Pedro and Gittens can make an immediate impact as Chelsea seek to compete on multiple fronts next season.eason.
