Estevao Willian sent a brilliant gesture to Lincoln fans after Chelsea win
Chelsea youngster Estevão Willian made a big impression off the pitch after Tuesday night’s Carabao Cup third-round tie against Lincoln City.
The Blues came from behind to seal a 2-1 victory at the LNER Stadium, with goals from Tariq George and Facundo Buonanotte turning the game around in the second half. But one of the night’s standout moments came after the final whistle, courtesy of the 18-year-old Brazilian winger.
Although Estevão didn’t start the match, he was introduced in the second half and showed flashes of the flair and skill that have made him one of the most talked-about young players in world football. For Lincoln fans, seeing a Brazilian international play in their stadium was a rare treat — and the excitement continued after the game.
Following the full-time whistle, Estevão took time to greet a group of young Lincoln supporters, signing autographs and posing for photos. His gesture was warmly received by the home crowd and added a special touch to what was already an unforgettable night for the lower-league side’s fans.
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca will be pleased with Estevão’s growing connection with supporters as he continues to adapt to life in England. With his talent and maturity, the teenager is quickly becoming a fan favourite not just among Chelsea supporters but among neutrals as well.
