Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez’s girlfriend, Valentina Cervantes, has confronted Argentine TV presenter Wanda Nara on air over rumours that Nara sent the footballer a flirtatious message.
The encounter reportedly took place during filming for an upcoming episode of MasterChef Celebrity Argentina, where Cervantes is a contestant. According to Infobae, Nara, who is also the ex-wife of footballer Mauro Icardi, decided to address the issue directly with Cervantes.
The rumours began after journalist Santiago Sposato claimed Nara had privately messaged Fernandez saying:
“I just saw you in the area, text me if you want.”
On set, Wanda Nara strongly denied the accusations, calling them baseless. She told Cervantes in front of the cameras:
“I will take this opportunity to clear up this nonsense that is being said about me and your husband – it is a lie.”
Cervantes reportedly nodded and appeared calm, choosing not to escalate the matter. Nara went on to offer some advice about dealing with fame:
“Fictional stories. Welcome to fame. It’s all true.”
Earlier this year, Cervantes had already dismissed reports of any personal conflict with Nara, saying:
“They’ll always make a big deal out of it, but I don’t have any issues with her, she’s never done anything to me.”
She also reiterated that she had never seen the alleged message.
Despite the media speculation, Fernandez and Cervantes, who have been together since their teenage years, continue to live a stable family life in London. The couple have a young daughter and have remained focused on their family and careers, with Fernandez playing an integral role for Chelsea under Enzo Maresca this season.
