Cole Palmer Arrives to Hero’s Welcome in St. Kitts After Club World Cup Triumph
Chelsea star Cole Palmer received a hero’s welcome upon arriving in St. Kitts on Monday, as he celebrated his Club World Cup victory with family on his first-ever visit to the Caribbean island.
Palmer was instrumental in Chelsea’s dominant 3-0 win over Paris Saint-Germain in the final, scoring two goals and assisting the third in a commanding first-half performance. He was later named the tournament’s Best Player, capping off a standout season with individual and team glory.

Honouring His Roots
St. Kitts holds deep personal significance for Palmer, as it is the birthplace of his grandfather, Sterry Palmer. The England international proudly displays both the St. Kitts and Nevis and England flags on his football boots—a tribute that has endeared him to Kittitians and made him a symbol of pride for the island nation.
His trademark goal celebration has even been adopted by schoolchildren across St. Kitts, further cementing his popularity among the youth.
Warm Welcome at the Airport
Palmer and his family were greeted at the airport by Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Geoffrey Hanley and Minister of Tourism Hon. Marsha T. Henderson, along with traditional masquerade performers, in a vibrant and heartfelt ceremony.
