Chelsea transfer target Alexander Isak has reportedly informed Newcastle United of his intention to leave the club this summer, with Liverpool emerging as his preferred destination.
Newcastle had previously insisted that the Swedish striker was not for sale, valuing him at a staggering £150 million. However, with growing speculation and interest from top European clubs, Isak was left out of the squad for the club’s pre-season match against Celtic and also excluded from their pre-season tour. While manager Eddie Howe cited a minor thigh issue, he also admitted speculation was a factor.
Chelsea have long admired Isak and were reportedly preparing a player-plus-cash deal involving Raheem Sterling and Nicolas Jackson. The move would allow the Blues to offload Sterling’s significant wages (£325,000 per week) and free up space in attack.

However, according to The Guardian, Isak has made it clear that Liverpool is his preferred destination. The Reds have stepped up their interest and are now leading the race to sign the 23-goal forward.
Chelsea and Arsenal Battle Over Ajax Star Jorrel Hato
Arsenal are reportedly preparing a bid for Ajax centre-back Jorrel Hato, who has also been in discussions with Chelsea over a move to the Premier League.

Since Enzo Maresca’s arrival at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea have undergone a transformation. Having lifted two trophies recently, the Blues are now being considered serious title contenders.
With Axel Disasi attracting interest from Villarreal and possibly heading for the exit, Chelsea are seeking reinforcements in central defence. Disasi spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa, and the club are hoping to recoup around £30 million from his sale.
TalkSPORT recently reported that Chelsea have opened negotiations with Ajax for Hato, and the 19-year-old is said to be keen on a move to London. Despite this, Dutch outlet De Telegraaf now claims Arsenal have made contact with Ajax to discuss a possible deal.
While Arsenal’s interest is genuine, many believe Stamford Bridge remains the more attractive destination for the highly rated teenager, particularly given Chelsea’s recent European and global success.
Chelsea Willing to Sell Nicolas Jackson Amid Summer Reshuffle
Chelsea are reportedly open to selling striker Nicolas Jackson if the right offer arrives during the current transfer window.

The Blues have already strengthened their forward line with the acquisitions of Liam Delap from Ipswich Town for £30 million and Joao Pedro from Brighton for £60 million. As part of their continued squad reshaping, Jackson is no longer considered untouchable.
According to The Athletic, Newcastle are showing interest in Jackson as a potential replacement for Isak. The Senegalese striker scored nine goals in his debut Premier League campaign but has faced inconsistency, disciplinary issues, and fitness challenges.
With Chelsea’s attack becoming increasingly crowded, and suitors showing strong interest, a summer exit appears logical for both Jackson and the club.
