Chelsea Face Attacking Shake-Up as Nicolas Jackson Attracts Interest
Chelsea’s attacking lineup could look very different in the 2025/26 season, with striker Nicolas Jackson emerging as a target for several top clubs, including Manchester United.
While Pedro Neto is expected to remain at Stamford Bridge despite interest from Saudi Arabia, Jackson’s future is less certain. The Senegal international has already turned down approaches from Napoli and AC Milan, but talks have reportedly taken place between his representatives and Manchester United.

According to Sky Sports, if Jackson is sold, Chelsea may not immediately look for a like-for-like replacement. Instead, with Pedro Neto capable of playing as a striker—as he demonstrated last season—the Blues could prioritise signing a wide attacker rather than a central forward.
This could open the door for a new-look front three featuring Joao Pedro, Liam Delap, and Pedro Neto under Enzo Maresca. The trio offers flexibility and tactical variation, giving Chelsea a dynamic edge in the upcoming campaign.
However, deciding whether to reinforce the squad with a new striker or focus on wide options is a crucial call the club must make before the transfer window closes.
Chelsea’s approach will likely depend on the outcome of Jackson’s situation, as interest from United and others intensifies heading into the final stretch of the window.
